Longtime North Babylon resident Barbara A. Augustine (nee Forster) died of natural causes March 30, 2008. She was 54.

Born on May 5, 1953 in Queens, she grew up on Harriet Road in North Babylon during the 1960s and later raised her children there. According to her family, she was an avid painter.

Mrs. Augustine leaves behind her children: Eric and his wife Celena in Mufreesboro, Tennessee, Emily and her husband Chris in Maryland and Nancy Fox of West Virginia, Emily, Brittany and Bianca; her grandchildren: E.J. Yantz, Heather Yantz, Chantelle Yantz, Crystal Fox, Clinton Jr. Fox and Jadalynn Fox; her great grandson: Daniel; and her parents: William and Barbara Forster.

A memorial was held on April 2, 2008 at the Sheldon-Kukucha Funeral Home Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania.
