Shown in the photo, Forest Avenue students play in the snow. The kindergarten and first grade English Language Learners in Mrs. Kinnear's class at Forest Avenue Elementary School in the West Babylon School District learned about winter activities through a variety of projects, crafts, and stories. These activities are a tool for increasing vocabulary, which helps in language acquisition. The children made their own snowstorm in the classroom proving that learning really can be fun.
