Babylon scholars inducted into honor society

Shown in the photo are some of the Babylon Junior-Senior High School students who were inducted into the school's chapter of the New York State Business Honor Society. Having demonstrated high academic achievement in their business classes, as well as outstanding leadership skills and documented community service contributions, 24 Babylon Junior-Senior High School students recently stood before their parents and peers holding illuminated candles, ready to be inducted into the Babylon chapter of the New York State Business Honor Society.

The students were honored at the candlelight ceremony held in the High School Library. Joining the students and their parents were High School Principal Robert Visbal, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ellen Best-Laimit, Director of the Practical Arts Department Claire Reilly, and Business Teacher Andrew Marulis.

The Babylon Village School District congratulates the following inductees: Laurie Busch, Brendan Cassidy, Thomas Conway, Philicia Frasson, Laura Greenman, Zachary Gumbardo, Christina Halpin, Patrick Johnsen, Cameron Kluesener, Emily Loudon, Matthew Loskamp, Alyssa Marron, Kimberly Mendell, Shannon O'Malley, Krishna Patel, Lucas Ratz, Noelle Rogers, Jason Roman, Allison Ryder, Nick Shao, Stephen Speacht, Ul Weena, Kelly Woodard and Stephanie Zitvogel.
