NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Special District Meeting of the qualified voters of Half Hollow Hills Central School District will be held on Tuesday April 8, 2008, between the hours of 9:30 A.M. and 9:00 P.M. at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library, 55 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills, New York, the designated polling place, for the following purposes:
1.To consider and vote upon the appropriation of necessary funds to meet the estimated expenditures of the Half Hollow Hills Community Library for the fiscal year 2008-2009. 2.To elect one Library Trustee, for a term of five (5) years, commencing July 1, 2008.
A petition shall be required to nominate such candidate to the office of Library Trustee. Each petition shall be directed to the Director of the Library, shall be signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District, and shall state the name and residence of the candidate. In the event that any such nominee shall withdraw his or her candidacy prior to the election, such person shall not be considered a candidate unless a new petition nominating such person in the same manner and with the same limitations applicable to other candidates is filed with the Director of the Library.
