Farmingdale University to host wellness fair
      The Farmingdale State College's sixth annual Health and Wellness Fair will be held Thurs., April 17 at the college, 2350 Broadhollow Rd., Farmingdale in the Roosevelt Hall multi-purpose room 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Bay Shore High School students recognized by NYS Association of Health
     Bay Shore High School's Courtney Cox and Frank Marzillo who were recognized by New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance as Suffolk Zone Award winners. These athletes met the following award criteria: Physical Education Achievement and Leadership, Outstanding Character, Scholastically Sound, School-wide Activities Leadership and Role Model. Shown, from left to right, are Suffolk Zone winners Frank Marzillo, Principal Dr. Edmund Frazier and Courtney Cox.

      Amityville: The Amityville boys basketball team earned the No. 6 seed in the Class A tournament and were eliminated by No. 3 Harborfields in 61-50 quarterfinal loss. Warriors' head coach Jack Agostino lost the game to his brother Chris, the head coach at Harborfields. Steve Medard, who was a tight end on the Amityville football team, led the Warriors with 13 points.
