Deer Park High School kicked off Winter Concert Program by giving back to the community. The festively decorated cafeteria served as the backdrop for the Backpack Buddies Fundraising Spaghetti Dinner sponsored by the Chartwells Dining Service.

All proceeds from the Backpack Buddies dinner, approximately $680, went directly to two noble charitable organizations. Half of the proceeds collected were donated to the Back Pack Buddies Food Pantry Program of Suffolk County. The remaining half collected was donated to Habitat for Humanity, a charity that the students of Deer Park High School work with by building homes for families in need across Long Island.

During dinner service the Deer Park High School Women's Choir entertained

the guests, performing various holiday musical selections. Student

members of the Deer Park High School Community Service Club provided free face painting and temporary tattoos for all who attended.
