Babylon Rotary Club presents check to Clergy Cluster
The Babylon Rotary Club and organizers of the 10K Dirty Sock Run recently presented a check for $7,000 to the Babylon Village Clergy Cluster food pantry. The presentation was made at the Rotary Club's meeting at the Long Island Yacht Club. Pastor Tom Sutter, of the First Presbyterian Church, accepted the check on behalf of the Clergy Cluster. More...
Former WB athlete named to SC Hall of Fame

Jonathan Reese, a former West Babylon High School lacrosse and football player who went on to play at Yale, was named recently to the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame. Donald Wright, 55-year member of the Babylon Fire Department, dies

Services were held last week for Donald Wright, a 55- year volunteer with the Babylon Fire Department and a member of one of the oldest families in the Village. He was 80 years old. • Einar Grell: world class fisherman from Babylon Village
Master saltwater fisherman and captain Einar "Doc" Grell loved the ocean and spent as much time as he could near it. He told his family he moved to Long Island to be near the water and spent much of his time on Fire Island and in the Great South Bay. The 28-year Babylon Village resident died Jan. 17, 2008 after a longterm illness. He was 81 years old. More...
