It's not too often that stories about young people are featured on the front page of a newspaper, and when they are, the story usually recounts some ill deed or illegal act they have committed. Not so this week in the Beacon. More ... Weather forecasters predicted up to 6-inches of snow this week that never materialized. Their mea culpa's included an explanation that it was just too warm on Long Island for the storm to have any impact. That was a homerun for us but a big strike out for the weathermen. Once again I have been blessed by participating in the Feeding Ministry's Christmas party at the First Presbyterian Church in Babylon. It's hard to believe this was the 16th annual event that also includes providing hot meals every Thursday evening for the needy and homeless in Babylon. More ...
