Two student athletes from West Babylon High School were honored at the 2007 Student Awards Dinner. Suffolk Zone of NYS AHPERD chose Shannon Smith and Richard Nicolini from a pool of hundreds of applicants. Shannon and Richard have GPAs of 102.84 and 96.3, respectively- achieved in the midst of rigorous athletic training.

Smithy played varisty lacrosse and Nicolin participated in varsity soccer, Track and Tennis.
