Women's volleyball news...
The Mountain Valley Conference announced recently that SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team member freshman Danielle Skene, of West Babylon and a graduate of West Babylon High School, has been named to the 2007 All-Mountain Valley Conference Team by the league's coaches.
The freshman outside hitter averaged 3.2 kills per game with 188 in 59 games this season while averaging 2.1 digs per contest with 126 on the year. Skene also amassed 19 blocks and 16 service aces for the Fighting Tigers on the season.
"As a freshman, this is a great recognition for Danielle to receive and it gives us something to build off of for the future," said Fighting Tiger Head Coach Scott Hill. "There was some extremely stiff competition in the conference this season which makes this a truly significant achievement."
