Bay Shore High softball champions' on and off the field

This years recipients are shown, left to right, bottom, Alyssa Leonard, Taylor McGowan, Nicole Marzillo, and Brianna Sullivan and top row, Athletic Director Claude Kasman, Coach Jim McGowan and Principal Dr. Ed Frazier. Missing from the photo is 2007 graduate and Long Island Player of the Year, Erika Sullivan who was also honored.
The Bay Shore High School varsity softball team continued its unprecedented success on the field in 2007. They won their record-breaking 21st league championship in 25 years and its 11th county crown in the past 14 years.

The girls also displayed brainpower in the classroom with a team GPA of 3.15. They were named one of the top 20 academic teams in the nation by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association. In total the Bay Shore program has produced 50 academic All Americans.
