St. John the Baptist musicians selected to All State

Thousands of students auditioned to perform this past spring at Solo and Ensemble Festivals throughout the State and three of West Babylon's St. John the Baptist students qualified as All State. They will represent St. John's at the 2007 NYSSMA All-State Conference, Rochester, New York on Nov. 29 to December 2.

Annmarie Buonaspina, a senior and resident of North Babylon, qualified for Jazz Guitar; Senior/ Jazz Ensemble/Instrumental Jazz Ensemble; LisaMarie Maher, a senior and resident of West Islip, qualified for Alto Senior/Women's Chorale/ Women's Chorus; James Olsen, a junior and resident of Babylon, qualified for Trumpet, Junior/ Wind Ensemble.
