Deer Park senior tennis team wins state championship
The Deer Park Blast senior tennis team won the new York state team tennis championship. The team consists of players from Suffolk County. They competed in the United State Tennis Association team tennis league this past summer. After defeating Syosset in the Long Island region, the Long Island team traveled to Albany where they competed in the New York State championships. The other four teams were Metro, Southern, Northern and Western regions. After playing four matches the Deer Park Blast came home victorious.

Missing from the photo are Mark Troiano fo Huntington, Rich Slizewski of North Babylon and Bob Walker of Kings Park.
