Lindenhurst High School celebrates breast cancer awareness month

Shown in the photo, Lindenhurst High School students and teachers dress in pink to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness.
Lindenhurst High School students, teachers, and administrators were encouraged to wear pink to school in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. (October) There was also a cake and carnation sale and a gift basket raffle. Over $1,200 was raised for the Breast Cancer Campaign. The "Pinkest" teacher/administrator awards went to Debbie Attria, Nicole Gaskill and Tina Lachner. The "Pinkest" student award went to Senior Alana Gund.

National Honor Society and Peer Leadership classes coordinated the week-long programs.
