WBHS student named Commended Student
Allison Matus, a senior at West Babylon Senior High School was named a Commended Student in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Allison was selected for this honor based upon her impressive performance on the PSAT/ NMSQT (Preliminary SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test).
Of the approximately 1.4 million high school students who take the test, only about 34,000 of the top 50,000 high scorers receive this distinction. As a high scorer, Matus received a letter of commendation in recognition of her outstanding academic promise.
