Good Samaritan Hospital appoints new Vice President of Medical Staff

Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center recently appointed Kenneth Long, MAPT, as vice president of medical staff administration. He previously served as director of rehabilitation services. In his new role, Long will oversee medical staff affairs including credentialing and medical staff quality assurance.

"While serving as director for rehabilitation services, Long has demonstrated outstanding knowledge and leadership skills. I am confident that he will complement the talent and commitment of our management team and provide support for Good Samaritan's physicians," stated Good Samaritan President and CEO Richard J. Murphy.

Long joined Good Samaritan in 1998. He received a bachelor's degree in health science and a master's degree in physical therapy from Touro College. Long and his wife, Kathleen, live in East Islip with their daughter, Zoe, and son, Hunter.
