Police seek public's help in finding DP bank robbers

Suffolk County Major Case Investigations Unit along with Crimestoppers is asking the public's help with identifying and locating three subjects who robbed a local bank in July of 2007.

On Saturday, July 28, 2007, three males entered North Fork Bank located at 2087 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park armed with handguns and demanding cash. One subject robbed the three teller stations that were open while the second subject demanded the bank safe be opened. Bank employees complied , the safe was opened and the three fled with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspects were last seen fleeing in a small silver vehicle, northbound on Deer Park Avenue.

Subject one is described as a Black Male, 6'2" tall with a heavy build, in his late 20's to early 30's. He was wearing a white shirt with red and yellow stripes, dark pants and a dark fishing hat.

Subject two is described as a Black male, 5'8" tall, thin build, in his late 20's- early 30's. He was wearing a dark shirt, dark pants and a black hat that had a brim going all the way around it. He was carrying a dark colored messenger bag with a flap that goes over the top.

Subject three is described as a Black male, 5'8" tall, thin build, in his mid 20's. He was wearing dark clothing with a fishing hat.

The three are also suspects in the robbery of the following banks: Berkshire Bank, March 23, 2007 in Chicopee, Massachusetts, Sovereign Bank, June 30, 2007, Cranston, Rhode Island, and Bank of America, September 28, 2007, East Hartford, Connecticut.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential and the caller will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.00 for information that leads to an arrest.
