Town of Islip holiday events The Islip Chamber of Commerce has announced the following events will be taking place: • On Friday, Nov. 30, 7 p.m. the third annual Islip Holiday Tree Lighting, will be held at Islip Town Hall. It is sponsored by the Islip Chamber of Commerce and the Islip Town Parks and Recreation Department. •Saturday, Dec. 1, 2 p.m., Islip's annual Holiday Parade, from Brookwood Hall down Main Street to Town Hall West will be held. •On Saturday, Dec. 1, 7:30 p.m. a Holiday Victorian Tea will be held at St. Mark's Church, Main Street, Islip. Tickets are $20 per person. Proceeds of the event, sponsored by the Islip Chamber of Commerce, support the Scholarship Fund. Tickets are available at Nook and Cranny Gifts, Uniquely Yours Parties, Little Shop of Shamrocks and Perennial Clothing. The annual Islip Holiday House Tour will be held Sunday, Dec. 2, noon to 4p. m. Tickets are $20 per person. The tour is sponsored by the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet. Tickets available at Nook and Cranny Gifts/Uniquely Yours Parties at 3 Grant Ave., Islip. •On Tuesday, December 11, 7 p.m. the Islip Chamber of Commerce Holiday Party will be held at the American Legion Hall, Islip. The event is free to members and $15 for non-members.
