Legislator Steve Stern awards Southeast Concerned Civic Association

Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern (D-Huntington) 16th LD awarded a grant to the Southeast Concerned Civic Association (SECCA) to help support its after school educational and sports programs for children in Deer Park. SEECA provides tutoring, provides test preparation for students, runs athletic and recreational programs and provides needed support for working parents who need a safe and enriching program for children to attend after the school day. "I am proud to support SECCA's fine programs which mean so much to the members of the community," Legislator Stern said. "SECCA provides guidance and instructional programs in a caring and safe environment for the children of Deer Park and their families and with this grant will continue to grow to meet the needs of our community."
