Babylon Village Arts Council poetry reading The first reading in the Babylon Village Arts Council's Poetry in the Village series will take place on Sunday, December 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Babylon Public Library, 24 S. Carll Ave., Babylon Village. The poets will be Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan and Gloria G. Murray. This event is free and open to the public. Nuzzo-Morgan, a member of the East End Arts Council, is founder and president of the North Sea Poetry Scene. A 2005 finalist for poet laureate of Suffolk County, she is editor of Long Island Sounds- An Anthology of Poetry. She has published several volumes of poetry, and is the co-host of Arts Forum on Cablevision Channel 20 which airs at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays with co-host Jim Jondreau. Murray, who lives in Deer Park, also is active in Long Island poetry circles and has had her work published in Bardic Echoes, Poet Lore, The Long Island Quarterly, The Paterson Review, C.Q. Quarterly, The Pittsburgh Quarterly and others. Her new chapbook is entitled In My Mother's House.
