Victor Beja, former Bay Shore resident and businessman Former North Massapequa and Bay Shore resident Victor Beja died October 16, 2007 in New York City. The 79-year-old ran his own appliance repair service business, serving Nassau County. "My dad always had a zest for life and a sparkle in his eye," said his daughter, Janine who described him as a loving jokester who was loved by many. Born in Brooklyn, he lived on Norman Place in North Massapequa for more than 33 years before spending 15 years on Captain's Walk in Bay Shore. Three years ago he moved to New York City. For many years he ran his own company, Total Appliance Service, which had locations in both Massapequa and in Baldwin. He was a trustee and active member of the Sephardic Temple of Cedarhurst and was a board member of the Captain's Walk Homeowners Association. Mr. Beja leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Judith (nee Thaw); his children: Caden Zollo and her husband Alfred of Sayville, Babette Savonne and her husband Umberto of Beverly Hills, California, Maxann and her husband Evan Messinger of New York, New York and Janine Kissane and her husband Kevin of Islip; his grandchildren: Pilar , Gavin, Garrett, Jeremiah, Delaney, Kieran, Lana and Archie; his brothers: Albert and his wife Shirley and Marco and his wife Phyllis. Services were held at the Boulevard Riverside, 1450 Broadway, Hewlett on October 18, 2007. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Bay Shore.
