Shawn Cullinane receives recertification as registered municipal clerk
Shawn Cullinane, clerk -treasurer for the Village of Lindenhurst, has received recertification as a Registered Municipal Clerk from the New York State Association of City and Village Clerks. The Registered Municipal Clerks designation is presented to those municipal clerks who attain a certain level of ongoing educational training in many areas involving local government management including municipal finance, budget control, land use policies, community health and safety and personnel management. Lindenhurst Mayor Thomas Brennan congratulated Cullinane and stated "We are proud and fortunate to have Shawn Cullinane serve as our clerktreasurer. The Village is well run and functions in an efficient and cost effective manner, thanks in large measure to Mr. Cullinane's efforts and training. His recertification as a registered municipal Clerk demonstrates his dedication to Lindenhurst and his role as clerk-treasurer of our Village." The Registered Municipal Clerk designation was presented to Shawn Cullinane at the recent annual Fall Training School sponsored by the New York Conference of Mayors and the New York Office of the State Comptroller.
