Local filmmaker's movie on Down syndrome comes to Babylon

Mr. Blue Sky, a film that explores the romantic relationship of a woman born with Down syndrome and a "normal" male in today's society will be shown in a limited release at the Clearview Cinemas in Babylon Village Nov. 9 through Nov. 15. The filmmaker, Tom Lee, of Bluesky Magic Productions is from West Islip.

The message of the film is social inclusion and acceptance for all individuals born with intellectual or developmental challenges.

'Through Mr. Blue Sky, we aim to change lives through changing minds," said Lee. "The exposure we can bring to the public for these individuals born with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities will go a long way at improving the lives of all individuals."
