West Babylon student honored by Newsday
Matthew Ahl, a senior at West Babylon Senior High School was recently named a Long Island Scholar- Artist for the month of December and will be honored with an appearance in Newsday this fall. Ahl will also be presented to the public at an event at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts.
The Scholar-Artist Program was established by school and community arts teachers and administrators. It is sponsored by the Long Island Arts Alliance with support from the Roslyn Savings Foundation. Students must submit a completed artistic presentation along with an application; grade point average; and letters of reference.
