Veteran's Day service to be held November 4
The Long Island National Cemetery Memorial Organization invites the public to attend the annual Veteran's Day Memorial service on Sunday, November 4, 1:30 p.m. at the Long Island National Cemetery, Wellwood Avenue entrance in Farmingdale. A free shuttle service from and to the Pinelawn Railroad station is available and will meet each train. A four-person golf cart will take passengers to the ceremony.
At this critical time in our history, it would be well to remember the 330,000 honored dead buried here who have defended us in previous wars and to support members of the Armed Services serving in the present conflicts. Comfortable seating under portable shelters will be available to all. Color guards of various veterans' organizations will pass in review including Marine Corps color guard. Bring your children and grandchildren to this short but meaningful memorial service.
