St. John's Lutheran Church to host fair Nov. 1 St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 36 East John St., Lindenhurst, will host its annual fair, Thursday, November 1, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, November 2, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Haegert Hall of the church. The hall is on the second floor of the educational wing and reached by using the Dover Street entrance. The event, which is sponsored by St. John's Sewing Bee, will have many hand-made items available including various needlepoint crafts; knitted and crocheted, quilted, embroidered, sewn and painted items and home décor decorations. Light lunch will be available at nominal cost. Raffles will be called at 7 p.m. on November 2 and the winner need not be present to receive his prize.
