•Alex Baah, of Bay Shore, graduated from Morrisville State College, Morrisville, New York at the May commencement. In addition he was named to the dean's list for the spring semester.

•Named to the dean's list at the

University of Buffalo for the spring semester are the following Dix Hills residents: Lori Garabedian, Kara Goldman, Louis Perez and Michael Rosenstein.

•The following local residents graduated from The College of Saint Rose in the spring: Pierre Dupuy and Anthony Powell, of Bay Shore, received a certificates of advanced study; Neema Sutton- Coker and Roberto Toledo, of Central Islip, received certificates of advanced study; Sabrina Manna, of Islip, received a bachelor of science and Lisa Bartenback, of West Islip, received a bachelor of science.

•Several local residents have reserved places as freshmen at the State University of New York at Oswego for the fall: Frederick Tropeano Jr. of Bay Shore; Debbie Ramirez, Jessica Spano, Joseph A. Ciuffo, Julisa E. Gonzalez, Jessica M. Harman, John P. Sexton, Alex R. Wertheim and Mary Cochran, all of Brentwood and Michael E. Riccobono of Dix Hills. Ian B. Sison of Bay Shore and Brian T. Sondi of Dix Hills are attending Oswego as transfer students.

•The following local residents have received bachelor of science degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York at the May 19 commencement: Jessica Lynn Nachtigal of Brentwood received her degree in management and George W. Ponick of Central Islip received his degree in computer science.
