West Babylon School District Fun Run to be held September 29

In an effort to combat childhood obesity, the West Babylon School District is holding a Fun Run for students of all ages in the District. Elementary, junior high and high school students are encouraged to participate in this prophysical fitness, anti-tobacco and antismoking extravaganza. Kids of all ages and fitness levels can choose to walk laps, run races, and get a free demonstration from members of the soccer and other varsity level teams. There is a rock wall for the extreme sports enthusiasts and a DJ for kids who like to dance the pounds away.

The event is Saturday, September 29. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Forest Avenue Elementary School, 200 Forest Ave., West Babylon.
