Deer Park Community Center fall programs
The Deer Park Community Center, 41 Homer Ave., Deer Park, will be registering for its fall/winter schedule soon. There will be basketball for ages five to seven and 11 to 13 on Mondays and for eight to 10-year-olds on Wednesdays. Whiffleball for ages nine to 13 will be on Thursdays, volleyball for ages eight to 10 and 11 to 13 on Fridays, Playstation 2 tournaments on Tuesdays, arts and crafts for ages six to eight on Thursdays and adult basketball on Friday nights. Registration will be Monday, September 24; Wednesday, September 26 and Thursday, September 27, 5 to 7 p.m. and on September 27, 1 to 3 p.m. A mother and toddler program will be offered Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon. Registration is underway now for this program. The recreation lounge is open for all children ages eight and up every Monday through Friday, 3:30 to 7 p.m.
