Public Library's Summer Reading Club

Shown in the photo, Babylon children and their families enjoy Sherlock Holmes Takes the Case, performed by the Traveling Lantern Theatre company.
The Babylon Public Library was very busy this summer, with over 460 children, up to fifth grade, participating in this year's Summer Reading Club, Get a Clue @ Your Library. There were many activities enjoyed by Babylon children.

In the Book Buddies part of the program, older and younger children were paired up to read to each other once a week. There was Juggling with Jester Jim, story times, crafts, the game club, mini-mysteries, a Harry Potter celebration, weekly raffles and many other programs.

At the conclusion of the Summer Reading Club, the Traveling Lantern Theatre Company performed Sherlock Holmes Takes the Case.

Now that summer is ending, stop in the children's department and pick up a Fall Happenings sheet to see what other things are going on at The Babylon Public Library.
Shown in the photo is Kelly Quigley reading to her little Book Buddy Erin Corcoran.
