American Legion Post 1218 hosting community garage sale and barbecue September 22 HSJ American Legion Post 1218 will be hosting a community garage sale and barbecue at the Post, 133 Dixon Ave., Amityville on September 22. The garage sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors are needed and the fee is $25. To reserve a table call 631-789-0673.
The barbecue dinner will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Post and Auxiliary members will be making barbecue chicken and rib dinners and barbecue chicken sandwiches. Dinner side dishes to be announced. The price of the chicken dinner is $7, rib dinner is $10 and chicken sandwich is $4. For information, contact Alfred Jackson at 631- 842-3360.
