West Islip Country Fair to be held Sunday, September 23

The West Islip Country Fair will celebrate its 32nd year, Sunday, September 23, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds behind the West Islip Library, Montauk Highway and Higbie Lane. The rain date is September 30. Admission is free.

There will be 300 exhibitors and crafts people who will display their merchandise on the park grounds. Browsers and buyers will find ceramics, furniture, jewelry, florals, clothing, paintings, embroidery, children's items, woodcarvings and more.

Musical entertainment at the Band Shell includes Six Gun, Tumbleweed and The Most Dangerous Big Band. Come learn country line dancing with Sherry Palencia and Square Dancing with Primo Fiore.

Children will enjoy the castle bounce, petting zoo, pony rides, sand art, face painting, clowns and magicians. A wide variety of food and beverages will be available.

For your convenience Jitney Bus Service to and from the fair grounds, compliments of the Suffolk Transit Company, will be available along Higbie Lane and Montauk Highway.
