West Babylon JHS weather forecasting team participates in annual forecasting contest
 | | The West Babylon Junior High School Weather Forecasting Team recently participated in the fifth annual National Weather Forecasting Contest. The teams were assigned a city and then asked for forecasts for high and low temperatures and precipitation amounts for five days a week for four different weeks in that city. They also answered earth science questions associated with meteorology. The amateur meteorologists from West Babylon came in ninth place overall among a group of 140 teams worldwide.
