Amityville Artists' Circle to open new gallery September

The Amityville Artists' Circle is opening the new Circle Gallery temporarily located at 186 Broadway, Amityville on September 8 with an art exhibit by local artists who are members of the group. Everyone is welcome to stop by and see the work on display as well as meet the artists. There will be a raffle of an original sculpture by Amityville's own Harry Saarinen and an original painting by Andriani Mikolaitis.

The gallery will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. for the grand opening on Saturday, September 8. Regular hours will be Thursday and Friday, 4 to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 1 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. through the months of September and October only. Special events are planned throughout the Circle Gallery's temporary term.

The Amityville Artists' Circle is a group of local artists and people who love the arts. Its goals are to feature the work of its members, kindle creative energies, support artistic endeavors and enrich the community through promotion of the arts.

Mike Esposito of Vittorio's Restaurant offered the space for the gallery. Harry Saarinen donated his sculpture and Andriani Mikolaitis donated his painting.
