Gearing up for Guard

Shown in the photo soldiers from 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, are inspected by Staff Sgt. Dennis Bryon, center, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st ACB, before assuming guard duty along the perimeter and other various checkpoints within Camp Taji, Iraq. Bryon, a native of Bay Shore, N.Y., examined the Soldiers' equipment and protective gear to be sure it was serviceable before they took their posts at the various guard locations on the forward operating base.
