International Coastal Cleanup beginning Sept. 15 and 16

Keep Islip Clean (KIC) is pleased to announce that the 22nd Annual International Coastal Cleanup is ready to launch September 15 and 16. KIC is now recruiting all who value clean, healthy and beautiful waterways to join in and help make this environmental event a success.

KIC sponsored volunteers will remove the trash that harms our waters and tabulate data on that debris. This information is then sent to the Ocean Conservancy which analyzes data from around the world to track pollution trends.

Every year, KICsupplies hundreds of environmentally conscious people with data collection materials and instructions necessary to gather accurate information. Participants, including families, Scouting troops, seniors and individuals, also receive the bags, gloves and all other necessary supplies for an effective cleanup.

Call Nancy at the KIC office at 631-224-2627 to discover how you can be part of this year's event.
