Diocese of Rockville Centre compiles time capsule in the spirit of jubilee year
TheDiocese of Rockville Centre recently unearthed hundreds of historical photographs of local parishes. In the spirt of the jubilee year of the Diocese has distributed the photos to the media. and has created a Diocesan Time Capsule, within which the photos will be placed. In the above photo, Pope John Paul II greets the St. Joseph parish choir in Babylon after the group sang during a papal audience at the Vatican in 1993.
"We are pleased to share this feature with you so your readers can get a flimpse of their community's past," said Angela Cave, communications assistant for the Diocese.
