•A front page story (County officials pressure Congress to reimburse Suffolk for incarcerating illegal aliens, Thursday, Aug. 16), incorrectly identified Leg. Lou D'Amaro in the lead sentence. He is a Suffolk County lawmaker. We apologize for the error.

•A headline that appeared on page 2 last week, announcing an award to Laurie J. Bloom of Brightwaters should have said the award was the Public Relations Professional of Long Island's Mentor Award.
