BFD fights car blaze
The Babylon Fire Department responded to a car fire on Wednesday at approximately 3 a.m. They were called to FredrickCourt and responding units found a vehicle with its engine compartment ablaze. The vehicle was up against the house and firefighters worked to contain the fire and ensure that it did not spread to the home. Approximately 45 volunteers were on the scene and no injuries were reported. It took approximately 5 minutes to bring the fire under control according to Department Chief Richard Krollage.
