Bob and Eleanor Misegades celebrate 50th

Bob and Eleanor (Pearsall) Misegades, of West Islip, celebrated their 50th anniversary on August 3, 2007. Bob and Ellie graduated Babylon High School in 1955 and their classmates voted them the "Favorite Couple." A surprise celebration was given them by their family; and friends and family came from as far away as Florida and Maine. The surprise golden anniversary party was held in the Hibernian Hall in Babylon and the theme was the 1950s; poodle skirts and black and white saddle shoes were very apparent.

Bob and Ellie are the parents of Bob and Celeste Misegades Jr., Krista and Tom Donnelly and Allison and Scott Marro and the late Lee Lane Misegades Tinguely. Adding to the family are grandchildren Jamie and Brian Misegades, Scott and Amanda Marro and Tommy Donnelly.

Bob and Ellie lived in France while Bob was stationed there in the U.S. Army back in the 1950s and both returned to work for Republic Aviation Corporation until Bob went on the Suffolk County Police Force from where he retired as a detective sergeant of the Homicide Squad. They travel as much as they can.
