North Babylon students demonstrate and donate vases for senior center
On Monday, June 4, student artists from North Babylon's Belmont Elementary School visited the North Babylon Senior Center. Led by their teacher Carolyn Whitney, the students demonstrated how to use a decoupage technique to create colorful glass vases. During the "mini-class," the seniors took notes, tried the technique themselves and admired the lovely creations. At the end of the day, the students donated all of the vases they had brought with them to the Senior Center as table decorations.
