Origami Lady Rachel Katz visits Harding Avenue School in Lindenhurst

Origami Lady Rachel Katz visited Lindenhurst's Harding Avenue art classes for a special lesson on The Art of Origami.

Through stories, Origami master and author Rachel Katz introduces the art of origami, which means paper folding. She shows samples folded from gift wrap and dollar bills. As she tells her stories, she shows the students how to create various images from the story. She told the children how to read an origami pattern from books or websites. Each participant made a special origami to take home.

"Ms. Katz is unique by her storytelling as she shows students how to make origami." stated art teacher, Mrs. Longo
