LSD student wins DOT design contest

Why are we throwing away our tax dollars…LITTER-a-ly? This is the title of the newest Department of Transportation (DOT) brochure, designed by Lindenhurst High School's own Emilia Bajena. They were the winners of the contest to produce a brochure on littering for the DOT.

Shown in the photo, left to right, are Principal Dan Giordano, Assemblyman Robert Sweeney, Senior Emilia Bajena, Coordinator of Fine and Performing Arts Larry Roberts and Teachers Cecelia Johnson and Suzette Picozzi.
