Living close to nature program available in August
Islip Town Supervisor Phil Nolan announced that the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs is offering "The Man in Nature" Camp Program at the Islip Grange in Sayville, for $110 per session. The program teaches ancient ways of living close to nature; and activities such as tracking, stalking, cooking, handicraft, wooden tools, games and natural jewelry making. Three, one-week sessions are available. Session A will be August 13 to 17, for eight to12 year olds. Session B will be August 20 to 24, for 10 - 14 year olds. Session C will be August 27 to 31, for eight to 14 year olds.
