•The following local residents received degrees from The College of Saint Rose in the fall 2006: Pierre Dupuy of Bay Shore received a certificate of advanced study and Tracy Sutherland of Brentwood received a certificate of advanced study. •The State University of New York at Cortland recognized the following local residents at the annual honors convocation, Saturday, April 21: Rose Graham, of Central Islip received the Dorothy Amsdorff Award from the physical education department and the chancellor's award for student excellence from the State University of New York and Kaitlin Elizabeth Ramsbothom, of Bay Shore, received the Peter Eisenhardt '67 Award for Excellence in Tech First, All College. •Briarcliffe College, with campuses in Bethpage and Patchogue, recently held commencement ceremonies for graduates on May 30. •Jeanette Johnathan, of Central Islip, was named to the dean's list at the American International College for the spring 2007 semester. She is a junior majoring in biology and is the daughter of Celeste and Alan Johnathan.

Sanchez of Islip Terrace. •Paul Douglas Chivvis, of Lindenhurst, received a master of science in adult and organizational learning from the University of Idaho, Moscow Idaho on May 12. •Ryan Holgan, of Babylon, was named to the dean's list for two years in a row at Loyola College, Baltimore, Maryland. He is majoring in business finance. His parents are Joann and Todd Holgan of Babylon. •Ibelise Caba, of Babylon, received a certificate of advanced study from The College of Saint Rose, Albany in the fall 2006. •Kaitlin Johnson, of Lindenhurst, due to graduate Lindenhurst High School, has been awarded a $500 Russo Family Scholarship to attend Alfred State College where she plans to enroll in the nursing program. •Elizabeth Milana, of Lindenhurst, was honored at the State University of New York at Cortland Honors Convocation with the Harriet Bentley Junior Memorial Award. •The following West Islip residents graduated from Bryant University, Smithfield, Rhode Island, Saturday, May 19: Ryan R. Lynde received a bachelor of science in business administration, accounting and Brianna Frances Sesto received a bachelor of science in business administration, marketing. •Matthew Nicholas Giammarinaro received a bachelor of science in business administration, accounting, summa cum laude from Bryant University, Smithfield, Rhode Island. He received three awards at that time: The Anna M. and Jere St. Angelo '61 Accounting Award given to the graduate who is in the top 10 percent of the class; the George J. Kelly Award for the senior who has the highest cumulative grade point average and the History/Social Sciences Department Award for outstanding achievement in legal studies. •Jacquelyn Nicole O'Connor, of Deer Park, received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York on May 19. •Alison Koentje, of West Islip, a member of the Class of 2008 at Loyola college, Maryland, has been elected for membership in Alpha Sigma Nu, the honor society of Jesuit institutions of higher learning. •The following local residents received degrees on May 19 from The State University of New York at Oswego: From Lindenhurst are Joseph J. The Sigma Beta Delta National Honor Society was founded in 1994 to honor students in business, management or administration who are pursuing baccalaureate or graduate degrees. To qualify, students must rank in the upper 20 percent of their class. •Holy Trinity Diocesan High School, Hicksville, has announced the honor roll for the third academic quarter of the 2006/2007 school years. Allision is working in the law firm of Proscauer Rose in Manhattan. •Farmingdale State College awarded scholar- ships recently to the following Lindenhurst residents Pearl Degen for business administration and Andrew Glaser for architectural technology. •Gregory Brink of Babylon and Meaghan Geerlings, of North Babylon, received a master of arts in teaching from Quinnipiac University, Hamden Connecticut. Sunday, May 13. •James Lazak, of North Babylon, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at American International College, Springfield, Massachusetts where he is a senior majoring in criminal justice. She was named to the dean's list with a grade point average of 3.861. Litwin interned for 17 weeks with the Suffolk County Probation Department, passed the New York City Police test earlier this year and also took the Suffolk County Police test in June.
