NYSED announces the Department of the Year Winners for 2006-2007
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the Business Teachers Association of New York State have announced selections for Department of the Year Winners for 2006-2007. The Business Education Department at Babylon Junior Senior High School was named a winner for Region 1- Long Island in Category B (Small Schools).
According to Jon Greenwalt, Director of Business & Marketing for NYSED, this year saw the largest number of applicants ever vying for this honor. Winning Business Departments had to address criteria and/or provide documentation in 17 different areas in their applications to be considered.
