Lindenhurst Historical Society musical program to be held July 18

The trustees of the Old Village Hall Museum, a unit of the Lindenhurst Historical Society, will be presenting a musical program, the Long Island Swing Band, Wednesday, July 18, 8 p.m. at the restored Long Island Railroad Depot on South Broadway and Third Street, Lindenhurst.

The band is known all over New York for its fine renditions. You are asked to bring your own lawn chair to be placed on the road bed on Broadway. There is no admission and all are welcome.

The depot, freight house and caboose are open for a visit at 7:30 p.m. They are open for free guided tours all summer on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m. The Old Village Hall Museum on South Wellwood Avenue is open year round with the same schedule for free guided tours also.
