SuffolkCounty Treasurer Carpenter participates in parents as reading partners

Suffolk County Treasurer, Angie M. Carpenter participated in Parents as Reading Partners at the A.T. Morrow School, Islandia. Treasurer Carpenter read to Mrs. Jone's and Mrs. Brannon- Stewart's fourth grade classes. After reading Strega Nona, the students asked many questions and learned about the Suffolk County Treasurer, and her varied duties, serving the taxpayers of Suffolk County. Allison Cummings and the PARP Committee for hosted and planned the reading day. "It was a wonderful opportunity to reach out to young people and share the joy of reading with them," said Carpenter.
