Babylon Business and Professional Women's Asscociation meets

The first combined garden party and business meeting of the Babylon Business and Professional Women's Association (BB&PWA) was held on May 20 at Elizabeth Karoly's home and was a success. The guests and members enjoyed the lemonade, tea and homemade goodies while meeting the group's new officers for 2007-2008.

The new officers are President Elizabeth Karoly, Vice President Claire Meirowitz, Treasurer Karen Deesing, Recording Secretary Marjory Furhrmann, Corresponding Secretary Rosemary Reina, Publicity Dorothy Beyers, Director Anita North and Director Nancy Swan.

The group's most important luncheon of the year was held June 22. At that meeting the 2007 scholarship winners were honored. This year the BB&PWA has chosen Melissa Fox and Donald Petrowski to receive scholarships.
