Drive on please Dear Editor: In your May 31 edition, Mr. Andrews of West Islip demanded that the Mayor of Babylon Village increase security at the LIRR so that when he gets off his train at 3 a.m. the area meeets his expectations of security. As a lifelong resident of Babylon, I am insulted by Mr. Andrews paranoid characterization of the criminal playground that exists (evidently, only in his mind). I have a few suggestions. Leave Babylon's issues to the residents of Babylon to deal with, keep the $360 a year you pay to park in Babylon, we won't miss the revenue, and commute from a safer station like Bay Shore, Lindenhurst, Copiague or Amityville. Alternatively, ask the LIRR who you pay at least $239 a month to secure their station, as it is their responsibility.
